According to the church, the membership count includes adults and children; active and inactive members are part of the count. Except where indicated, general population figures are based on the latest CIA estimates (primarily for July 2013). Percentages of LDS members were calculated with this information. In 2013 by the LDS count, membership exceeded 15 million.
