Menes (; , probably pronounced *; ; ) was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh of the early dynastic period, credited by classical tradition with having united Upper and Lower Egypt, and as the founder of the first dynasty (Dynasty I).

Ghioroc is a commune in Arad County, Romania. Ghioroc commune is situated in the contact zone of Zărand Mountains and Aradului Plateau, on the Matca channel, and it stretches over 4890 ha. It is composed of three villages: Cuvin (Aradkövi), Ghioroc (situated at 22 km from Arad) and Miniș (Ménes).
