Arnhem-Nijmegen Metropolitan Area
The Arnhem-Nijmegen Metropolitan Area (, or ) is a former Dutch Plusregio, public body and intermunicipal institution, founded in 1988, for the cooperation in the areas of housing, transport and economics in the conurbation consisting of the Dutch cities of Nijmegen and Arnhem, plus the bordering municipalities of Berg en DalBeuningenDoesburgDuivenHeumenLingewaardMontferlandMook en MiddelaarOverbetuweRenkumRhedenRijnwaardenRozendaalWestervoortWijchen, and Zevenaar. All but one are in the province of Gelderland. Its aim is regional cooperation As of 2011, 736.107 people are living in these municipalities combined (1,000 km²).
