LIDO
LIDO (Lightweight Information Describing Objects) is an XML schema for describing museum objects. It is applicable to all kinds of objects: art, natural history, technology, cultural objects. LIDO is widely used for harvesting museum data in union catalogs, and as a preliminary step for converting to semantic formats like CIDOC CRM or EDM.

Lido
A lido ( ) is a public outdoor swimming pool and surrounding facilities, or part of a beach where people can swim, lie in the sun, or participate in water sports. On a cruise ship or ocean liner, the deck with outdoor pools and surrounding facilities are often designated the lido deck.
