Bolus (medicine)
In medicine, a bolus (from Latin , ball) is the administration of a discrete amount of medicationdrug or other compound in order to raise its concentration in blood to an effective level. The administration can be given by injectionintravenouslyintramuscularlyintrathecally; or subcutaneously.
