Yavuz Turgul (born April 5, 1946 in
Istanbul,
Turkey) is a
Turkish film director and
screenwriter, who is best known for his box-office hit
The Bandit (1996) and who has won the Golden Orange for Best Screenplay four times for
Abbas in Flower (1982), The Agha (1985),
Mr. Muhsin (1987) and
The Shadow Play (1992); Golden Oranges for Best Film for
Mr. Muhsin (1987) and 2nd Best Film for
Gölge Oyunu (1992); and a Golden Orange Lifetime Achievement Award.
