The
Wales Rally GB is the largest and most high profile
motor rally in the United Kingdom. It is a round of the
FIA World Rally Championship and was formerly a round of the
MSA British Rally Championship and is based in North Wales. From its first running in 1932 until the 53rd event in 1997, it was known as the
RAC Rally until adopting its current name in 2003 except in 2009 when it was
Rally of Great Britain.
