Velizhsky District is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-five in Smolensk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast and borders with Belarus in the west, Pskov Oblast in the northwest, Tver Oblast in the northeast, Demidovsky District in the east, and with Rudnyansky District in the south.
