The Sitges Film Festival is a Spanish film festival and is one of the most recognizable film festivals held in Europe. It is considered the world's foremost international festival specializing in fantasy and horror films. Established in 1968, the festival normally takes place every year in early October in the coastal resort of Sitges, 34 kilometers West-South-West of the city of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
