Sheksninsky District is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-six in Vologda Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast and borders with Kirillovsky District in the north, Vologodsky District in the east, Poshekhonsky District of Yaroslavl Oblast in the south, and with Cherepovetsky District in the west. The area of the district is . Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Sheksna. Population: 36,007 (2002 Census); The population of Sheksna accounts for 62.8% of the district's total population.
