Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE), describes a technique widely used in biochemistryforensicsgeneticsmolecular biology and biotechnology to separate biological macromolecules, usually proteins or nucleic acids, according to their electrophoretic mobility. Mobility is a function of the length, conformation and charge of the molecule.
