Palkinsky District is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Pskov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast and borders with Pskovsky District in the northwest, Ostrovsky District in the southeast, Pytalovsky District in the south, Vilaka and Aluksne Municipalities of Latvia in the southwest, and with Pechorsky District in the northwest. The area of the district is . Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Palkino. Population: 10,520 (2002 Census); The population of Palkino accounts for 33.1% of the district's total population.
