Mission Hill is a ¾ square mile neighborhood of Boston, with the population of over 13,000 in 2008, nearly 16,000 people in 2007, and now likely about 19,000, of whom about 3,000 short-term residents are undergraduates from neighboring colleges and maybe another 1500 are short-term visiting scholars, students, researchers, and degree candidates working in the adjacent Longwood Medical Area for Harvard Medical School, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and/or the Harvard teaching hospitals.
