Kempegowda International Airport is an international airport serving the city of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It is located at Devanahalli about from Bangalore City Railway Station and covers . The airport opened in May 2008 as Bengaluru International Airport, replacing HAL Airport as the city's main commercial airport. It was renamed in 2013 after Kempe Gowda I, the founder of Bangalore.
