John R. Montgomery IV is an advertising industry veteran and television producer. Currently, he serves as the Creator/Executive Producer of the web series Attention Deficit Theater slated to premiere on The CW in 2016. He is also an Executive Producer for the CBS pilot Superior Donuts. Previously, he was an Executive Producer on CBS' The Crazy Ones. Show creator David E. Kelley cited Montgomery as the inspiration for the The Crazy Ones and character Simon Roberts, portrayed by Robin Williams. Montgomery is also a 33-year veteran of Leo Burnett advertising agency in Chicago. Although he left Leo Burnett in September 2013 to work on The Crazy Ones full-time, he still consults for the company, most recently in Tokyo, Japan on the McDonald's account.
