Hudson Square is a neighborhood in
Lower Manhattan,
New York City approximately bounded by
West Houston Street to the north,
Canal Street to the south,
Sixth Avenue (
Avenue of the Americas) to the east and the
Hudson River to the west. To the north of the neighborhood is
Greenwich Village, to the south is
TriBeCa, and to the east is
SoHo. The area once was known as the
Printing District, and into the 21st century it remains a center of media-related activity, including in advertising, design, communications, and the arts.
