Grass Valley a Belden Brand, is owned by Belden Inc. and the result of the merger of Grass Valley and Miranda Technologies on March 31, 2014, when Belden purchased Grass Valley from private equity firm Francisco Partners. The company is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada with offices and operations worldwide. It was previously known as Grass Valley Group and founded in Grass Valley, California. It develops and produces technology and services for the video and broadcast industry, with a broad offering of "glass-to-glass" conventional (SDI) and IP (SMPTE 2022-6) solutions for live video production, news and playout. It operates with direct sales and services operations around the world. It has been awarded 20 Engineering Emmy Awards in total from NATAS (National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences) and ATAS (Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, known as the Television Academy).
