Graha (
Sanskrit gráha "seizing, laying hold of, holding",
Tamil:
kōḷ) are astrological figures in
Hindu astrology. There are nine, the
Navagraha (Tamily
kōṇmīṉ, "imperial stars"), which includes the planets
Mars,
Mercury,
Jupiter,
Venus, and
Saturn; the
Sun; the
Moon; and positions in the sky,
Rahu (north or ascending
lunar node) and
Ketu (south or descending lunar node).
