Colin Trevorrow ( ; born September 13, 1976) is an American film director and screenwriter, known for directing the indie film Safety Not Guaranteed (2012) and Jurassic World (2015), the latter co-written by him and the fourth-highest-grossing film of all time. Trevorrow will direct the upcoming Star Wars Episode IX, slated for a 2019 release.
