Chloroxylon swietenia (Ceylon satinwood, East Indian satinwood or buruta (බුරුත in Sinhala)) is a tropical hardwood, the sole species in the genus Chloroxylon (from the Greek χλωρὸν ξύλον, "green wood"). It is native to southern India, Sri Lanka, and Madagascar.
