Avialae ("bird wings") is a
clade of
dinosaurs containing their only living representatives, the
birds. It is usually defined as all
theropod dinosaurs more closely related to modern birds (
Aves) than to
deinonychosaurs, though alternate definitions are occasionally used (see below).
