Annie is a 1999 American made-for-television musical-comedy-drama film from The Wonderful World of Disney, produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Columbia Pictures. It stars Kathy Bates, Victor Garber, Alan Cumming, Audra McDonald, Kristen Chenoweth, and introducing Alicia Morton as the titular character. It is based on the 1982 film and the 1977 Broadway musical of the same name, as well as the 1924 Little Orphan Annie comic strip by Harold Gray. This is Disney's and Columbia's first collaboration since Columbia distributed some of Disney's short animated films in the 1930s.
